Baseball: The baseball team picked up their first win of the 2017 season behind senior right hander Ricky Dennis, who allowed two runs over six innings. Senior first baseman Shaine Hughes led the offense with three hits and scoring two runs. Senior southpaw Justin Andrews hurled the final three innings and allowed only two hits. The blue and white return to the diamond in the Notre Dame Irish Classic on Friday afternoon in Cary, NC at 1:00 p.m. vs. William and Mary.

Baseball Drops Conference Series to Siena

After defeating Princeton in a non-conference game on Wednesday, April 5, the baseball team resumed Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play against Siena over the weekend in Loudonville, NY and split a Saturday doubleheader before dropping the series finale on Sunday.

Denise Wescott, the Monmouth University women’s lacrosse coach, was named Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year by the Intercollegiate  Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association. Entering her fifth year of coaching the Hawks, Wescott has an overall 41-34 record. Wescott and the Hawks open their season on Feb. 15, 2014 as they host Fresno State.
