The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music (BSACAM) starts building progress livestream

The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music (BSACAM) announced on March 13, through an Instagram post, that the BSACAM website is now hosting a 24/7 livestream of the progress of the construction of the building. Announced in October, the building will be the future home of various Springsteen-related artifacts, exhibition galleries, and a 230-seat theatre.

“We are excited to livestream the construction of the new home for the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music, sharing this journey with the world,” said Eileen Chapman, Director for BSACAM. “This allows us to provide an inside look at how the new building is coming to life and to share the process in real time. Visitors to the Archives— including researchers, filmmakers, fans, and students from around the globe—have often suggested that we share our work more widely. Now everyone can view the entire process from the ground up.”

Located on the corner of Norwood and Cedar Ave, the building recently celebrated the placement of its final beam, moving along construction at a rapid pace. “There are so many details that go into creating a building such as this, and we’re working with a very experienced team of professionals who meet every other week to track progress,” Chapman said.

“We are excited to announce that we expect construction to be completed and ready for us to move in by March 2026, just about a year from now,” Chapman continued. “At that time, we will enthusiastically begin installing exhibitions, organizing our shop, relocating our archives, scheduling captivating educational and public programs, and preparing for our highly anticipated grand opening. This important phase should take approximately three months.”

Until then, the Monmouth community and other interested fans can visit the pre-existing BSACAM building, located on Cedar Ave.

Chapman concluded, “We believe this livestream will generate excitement for the opening of the new center and give people a great sense of what to expect when the building opens. We love having the opportunity to watch as each room comes to life. It’s important to us that the public, as well as the campus, feel involved and invested in this new chapter.”
