Eighteen is a consequential age; it marks the border between youth and adulthood, between adolescent angst and alleged independence. Blue Hawk Records, the student-run record label at Monmouth University, wanted to capture that transitory stage and spirit in the mood and music of its 18th compilation EP, aptly titled Eighteen.

Blue Hawk Records: The Continuation of the Spring 2021 Compilation
Blue Hawk Records’ 18th compilation album is getting closer to completion. A lot has been going on these last few weeks with setting up the album, including successful recording sessions on March 10, March 17 and March 24. There is one more studio session with two artists left to record.
Blue Hawk Records Welcomes Another Compilation Album
Get ready to hear more talent from the students of Monmouth University! The University’s student-run record label, Blue Hawk Records, has announced their 18th studio compilation album for the spring 2021 semester. Auditions concluded on Feb. 10 in Woods Theatre, and 20 auditions were submitted from students of all majors. Six artists were chosen for the upcoming compilation album.
Blue Hawk Records to Release First Ever Remotely-Produced Compilation Album
Over the past few weeks, student life at Monmouth University has changed dramatically due to COVID-19. The move to online instruction for the remainder of the spring semester has led to the postponement and cancellation of many on-campus events and activities. It also required faculty and students to change the way the they conduct classes. Essentially overnight, all classes moved to a virtual environment. That’s hard enough for lecture courses, but is especially challenging for studio and performance-based courses.
Blue Hawk Records Announces New Stars!
Monmouth University’s Blue Hawk Records recently held auditions for their 16th compilation album on February 3rd and 5th in Woods Theater. There was a great turn out for auditions with many talented students, which made the decision process cutthroat. However, those that made it onto the album are exceptional artists, and as a result this semester’s compilation will be one of the best.
