Nearly 100 students and faculty put on women’s shoes and walked in the ninth annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event to raise awareness for sexual assault and gender violence on Wednesday, April 6.
New Beauty and the Beast is a Must See
Disney’s live action remake of Beauty and the Beast is both a visual spectacle, and a treat for fans of the original. The film is true to its animated predecessor, follows the storyline of the animated film almost scene for scene, and contains just the right amount of nostalgia and Disney magic.

History of University Activism is Recognized in Mural
On permanent display in Bey Hall is the “Out of the Classroom and Into the Streets” mural, painted by Dr. Johanna Foster, Director of the Sociology Program. The mural celebrates the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s historic visit to Monmouth University and documents the waves of student activism from 1966 to the Black Lives Matter campus rallies in 2016.
Monmouth Outdoors Club Announces Spring Events
The Monmouth Outdoors Club has planned a number of events for the spring 2017 semester. Events include camping trips, indoor on-campus activities and outdoor activities as well.
MU Debate Team Reaches Championship Round in Tournament
Monmouth University’s debate team won seven team and individual speaking awards at a debate tournament in San Diego, California over the weekend of Jan. 21. The team competed against 60 other teams and twelve colleges and universities.
Celebrate World Hijab Day With MSA and LTA
Friday, Feb. 3 the Muslim Student Association (MSA) and Lambda Theta Alpha (LTA), the Latin American sorority on campus will be cosponsoring an event to celebrate World Hijab Day. The holiday is internationally recognized annually on Feb. 1.
