Athletics Postpones Fall Sports Season
Over the summer, Monmouth was struck with the disappointing yet expected news that all Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) sports would be shut down for the fall semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Track & Field Earns MAAC Championship
Men’s Track and field were crowned the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Champions after their performance at the Conference Indoor Meet held in New York. The Women’s Track and Field team finished third in the MAAC Championships.
Baseball Splits Weekend in NC
Baseball travelled to North Carolina to open up their season this weekend as the Hawks defeated New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) on Friday by a score of 4-3, split a double-header with Bucknell winning 3-1 and losing 5-4 and fell to Penn State by a score of 14-2 on Sunday.
Track’s Big Performances in NY Meets
The men’s and women’s track and field team competed on Friday at the UAlbany Winter Classic held in Staten Island, New York. Four throws representing Monmouth were also sent to New York City on Thursday for the 113th Millrose Games at the Armory.
Swimming Victorious on Senior Day
Both men and women’s swimming secured victories in their meets this weekend as the men’s team defeated NJIT in the Steadman Natatorium on Friday by a score of 169-93 while the women’s team defeated Sacred Heart by a final score of 155-107 this past Saturday.
Men’s Basketball Opens Home Play 2-0
Men’s Basketball won both of their games at home this past week, defeating Radford 80-63 on Tuesday and beating Norfolk State by a slim margin of 75-71 on Wednesday.
Men’s Basketball Falls to Powerhouses
Men’s basketball lost to Kansas State 73-54 at the Bramlage Coliseum on Wednesday night and then again on Friday to Kansas by a score of 112-57 at the Allen Fieldhouse.
Basketball Splits Opening Week
Men’s Basketball began their season 1-1 with two road matchups as they won against Lehigh 66-62 at the Stabler Arena on Tuesday and fell to Hofstra 94-74 on Saturday at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

Men’s and Women’s cross country both took home fourth overall finishes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships on Saturday afternoon in Holmdel, New Jersey.
