International Students Increase at MU
The University experienced a rise in the past year from 103 internationals students in fall of 2012 to 121 students in fall of 2013.

Cross Country Finishes Their Season at ECAC/IC4A
The Monmouth cross country team completed their final meet of the season as they raced in the ECAC/IC4A Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Saturday, Nov. 23. The men placed second in the IC4A Championship meet while the women finished fifth in the ECAC Championship meet.

Denise Wescott, the Monmouth University women’s lacrosse coach, was named Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association. Entering her fifth year of coaching the Hawks, Wescott has an overall 41-34 record. Wescott and the Hawks open their season on Feb. 15, 2014 as they host Fresno State.

Soccer Teams Falter in Postseason Play
The University’s men’s soccer team tied the No. 2 Quinnipiac Bobcats on Sunday, Nov. 17 in the 2013 MAAC Championship Game, but eventually lost 4-3 on a penalty kick shoot-out.

Fifth year senior goalie, Ashley Lewis, was named the ECAC Division I Defensive Player of the Week on Thursday, Nov. 14. Lewis posted three straight shutouts to help lead the Hawks to the MAAC Tournament Championship. She was in net for 13 out of 16 shutouts the Hawks recorded this season.

Women’s Soccer Wins MAAC Championship Title
All weekend, the Hawks have been competing as the top seed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament in Orlando, FL. For the first time in University history, the Hawks became MAAC Champions when they defeated the Fairfield University Stags on Monday, Nov. 4.
