SIDE LINES: 4/22/15

After sweeping in-state rivals St. Peter’s and Rider 7-0 and 6-0 respectively, the men’s tennis team clinched the number one seed in the upcoming MAAC Championship. With the victories MU finished undefeated at home for the second straight season. The Hawks then claimed the MAAC regular eason title with another shutout win over Fairfield on Monday, April 20.

SIDE LINES: 4/15/15

The women’s tennis team moved to 2-13 on the season after splitting this past weekends matches against George Mason and Manhattan. MU first fell to George Mason 6-1 on Saturday, April 11 before bouncing back and beating MAAC foe Manhattan 5-2 the very next day. The Hawks will host Quinnipiac this Saturday, April 18 in another conference showdown set for 11:00 am

SIDE LINES: 4/8/15

Junior Marial Pierce was named the MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. In the Hawks’ overtime win over Quinnipiac Pierce scored three goals, including the game winner with just over five minutes to play. Pierce led MU in goals, total points, groundballs, draw controls, and caused turnovers over the course of the week.

SIDE LINES: 3/25/15

After taking down second-seeded Stephen F. Austin in the first round, the women’s bowling team fell to Vanderbilt and Valparaiso in consecutive matches and was eliminated from the first ever Soutland Bowling League Championships. The Hawks first beat SFA four games to one before falling to Vanderbilt 4-1 and being swept 4-0 by Valparaiso.
