On the outside, the yellow, bungalow- style home looks innocent enough, just like any other house on the block. A passerby would have no idea that this home was a time portal. Much more than meets the eye, this house brings you back millions of years into an archaic landscape filled with relics of inconceivable but true species now absent from the ecosystem.
The mackerels were flying back and forth, bubbles were being blown and fins were flapping. Then, I got a kiss from a harbor seal; a soft, moist velvet kiss on my forehead. So excuse me if I seem like a sucker for these guys, because I am.
“In every photograph, there is something for the viewer to get lost in, to reflect on, or to translate,” University Specialist Professor Anne Leighton Massoni said about the gallery exhibition, LANGUOR / TEMPERANCE | REPOSE.
The “WILD” Nature Photography exhibit offers visitors a glimpse into some of the most intimate moments of wild creatures, including polar bears, grizzlies, birds of prey, and much more. The exhibition, curated by photographer and New Jersey resident Eric Sambol, will be on display in Pollak Gallery until Friday Sept. 30. The gallery is open Monday through Friday 9 am to 7 pm, and is free and open to the public.
