Brockriede Common Built to Honor Local Family

An addition, consisting of three benches and a sign, was added to the Brockriede Common, the area in front of the Multipurpose Activity Center (MAC), this summer in honor of John A. Brockriede and his family to acknowledge their philanthropic efforts to the University and the Long Branch area.

Nicole Elizabeth Surace, freshman, died in a car crash in East Brunswick, NJ when her boyfriend’s car hit a telephone pole on Saturday, Nov. 30 at approximately 7:50 pm.

Employee Suffering from Meningitis Appears to be on the Road to Recovery

The administrator in the Controller’s area was hospitalized two weeks ago after being diagnosed with meningococcal meningitis serogroup (strain) C and is “recovering nicely,” according to University personnel.

Career Day Sets Record of 99 Employers

The University surpassed their record for most registered employers at the Fall Career Day on Nov. 21 in the Multipurpose Activity Center (MAC). The number of employers was up 47 percent compared to the Fall Career Day last year.
