Softball Sweeps La Salle and Central Connecticut

The softball team is starting to build momentum as they notched wins in all four games they played this week at home in double headers against La Salle University and conference foe Central Connecticut State University.

Seven Straight Wins for Women’s Lacrosse

The Hawks (9-6; 7-0) came back and defeated Quinnipiac (5-8; 3-3) on Friday afternoon at Kessler Field.  The final score was 11-7.  Senior midfielder Sam Savona led the way for MU, tying a career-high with four goals on the day, including three in the second half. Junior midfielder Kaleigh Gibbons also had four points on three goals and an assist.

From the Bullpen to NEC’s Finest: Andrew McGee

Andrew “Maniac” McGee has become a name much feared amongst the Northeast Conference baseball teams. As MU’s starting pitcher, McGee has a 5-1 record, four complete games, and 38 strikeouts. Not to mention he was named New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association’s Pitcher of the Week on March 25.

The softball team returned to conference play over the weekend, dropping two games in a double header to Robert Morris University before rebounding to sweep Wagner University in a double header on Sunday.

Women’s Lacrosse Remains Unbeaten in NEC

The Hawks (5-6, 3-0) defeated Mount Saint Mary’s (3-8, 2-1) Friday 8-5 to remain unbeaten in Northeast Conference (NEC) play. MU, who led the entire game, had a balanced attack and a strong defensive effort to win their third straight game.
