The baseball team started their 2013 season participating in the Ron Fraser Classic in Cary, North Carolina the second week of February.

The men’s basketball team lost their final two games of the season this weekend after falling to Mount St. Mary’s and Wagner. The Hawks ended their season with a 10-21 re­cord while going 5-13 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play.

The softball team started off the season by picking up wins in four out of five games on the road behind shut-down pitching and a powerful lineup.

Hawks Clinch Third Seed in NEC and Will Host First Tournament Game

The women’s basketball team won both their games this weekend on their way to securing the No. 3 seed in the Northeast Conference (NEC) tournament, and more im­portantly, a home game in the con­ference tournament. Their record improved to 15-14, 12-6 in the NEC.

On Saturday February 16, the Hawks lost their season opener to Fairfield 14-7.

Senior guard Gabby Singer hit seven three-pointers en route to helping the Hawks get a victory before heading home from Western Pennsylvania after defeating Robert Morris 60-48 Monday night.

The football team will be playing in the Big South Conference in 2014 and the players are excited about it.

The track and field team recently competed in their final regular season NEC meet this past Wednesday as they hosted Moonlight at the MAC.

The men’s basketball team has been eliminated from Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament contention after losing to Robert Morris and Saint Francis (PA) this weekend.

The men’s basketball team split their games this weekend, losing to Long Island University Brook­lyn (LIU) and beating St. Fran­cis Brooklyn. The Hawks (10-17, 5-9) are a game and a half behind Central Connecticut for the eigth and final Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament spot.
