The Monmouth bowling team competed in their first conference competition of their 2021 season at the MEAC Meet in North Carolina this weekend and finished with a .500 record.

Cross country opened up their 2021 season after a long, 350-day hiatus due to COVID-19 with the Jasper Winter XC Invitational this past weekend. It was the first time any Monmouth runner had raced this course in Montgomery, New York.

The Monmouth Hawks women’s bowling team participated in the Garden State Classic at Bowlero in North Brunswick, New Jersey this past weekend.

Women’s basketball split a weekend series on the road against Saint Peters earning their second win on the season, losing their first matchup by a score 70-60 and taking the home victory in their second game by a score of 63-57.

On Feb. 11, 2021, Monmouth University was selected as the favorite to finish in first place in the 2021 Big South Spring Football Preseason Poll.

As many college athletic programs around the country begin to compete again, the local Monmouth University Hawks prepare for a potential winter cross-country season.

It was a busy week for women’s basketball who played three games in the span of five days, featuring a home game against Siena on Wednesday and a road set against Quinnipiac this past weekend. 

Monmouth won both of their contests on the road against Manhattan this past week. On Friday, they beat the Jaspers 70-65 while they narrowly escaped them by a score of 71-69 in overtime on Saturday.

In November, former Monmouth tight end, Shawn Clark, became a two-sport pro athlete after becoming one of the newest additions to the pro rugby team, the Colorado Raptors.

Men’s basketball split their two away games against Niagara this past weekend winning the first one by a score of 77-67 on Friday and dropping the second one 74-83 on Saturday.
