Sophomore point guard Justin Robinson was named the MAAC Player of the Week on Monday, Dec. 8. Robinson averaged 18.5 points per game to help lead the Hawks to back-to-back conference victories over Marist and Iona. In the win over Iona, Robinson scored a career high 25 points.
Robinson currently leads the team in assists, and is also second on the team in scoring with an average of 12.1 points per game this season.
After taking home the title in their first year as members of the MAAC, both the men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams were picked to finish first in the MAAC Preseason Poll.
The Hawks were dominant in last year’s championships as they won a total of 13 events. Because of these feats, the Hawks are expected to perform with high intensity in this upcoming season.
The Preseason Coaches’ Poll gave the men’s squad 46 total points while the women received 63 points.
