After averaging 29.7 points per game across three games, he was named CAA player of the Week on Monday, Jan. 15. On Jan. 8, Rice led his team to a 2-0 start in CAA play with 29 points in just 24 minutes, dropping five three pointers. He finished 11-for-12 from the field and five-of-five from behind the arc, tying a single-game program record. Despite the next two losses, Rice continued to show up, with five threes in each game and a career high 34 points against College of Charleston.
