Yankees are World Series bound

5,474 days. 180 months. 15 years. That’s how long New York Yankees fans waited to reach the World Series yet again. For the first time since 2009, the New York Yankees have advanced to the World Series and are set to play the winners of the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

After a dramatic and close fought series, the Yankees defeated the Cleveland Guardians in five games. The Yankees looked phenomenal as they utilized all pieces to secure the series and win the American League pennant.

New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton had a spectacular series and was named the ALCS MVP after hitting 4 home runs, 7 RBI’s, and 5 runs scored in the 5 games.

Stanton was simply the difference maker in the series. After picking up the ALCS MVP trophy in the post game show, Stanton said, “It’s a special moment for me, a special time. But this ain’t the trophy I want. I want the next one [World Series trophy].”

Another superstar in the series was Juan Soto, who ultimately sent the Yankees back to the Fall Classic with his 10th inning 3-run home run to give the Yankees the lead in Game 5.

Soto finished the series with a .368 batting average while launching 3 home runs, driving in 6 RBI’s and 5 runs scored in the five games played.

Soto, 25 years old and a free agent at the end of the season, is expected to land one of the largest contracts in Major League Baseball history after the season concludes.

For now, it’s a deep breath for Yankees Universe. With the World Series set to begin on Friday Oct. 25, the Yankees have a few days to rest and prepare themselves before the stress piles up again.

It will be a zoo in the Bronx when the World Series returns to New York in just a few days as the Yankees core of stars and future hall of famers that are still ringless including Aaron Judge, Gerrit Cole, and Giancarlo Stanton look to cement their spot in history.
