Tours to catch in 2025: Which one of your favorite artists is hitting the road?

With 2025 just around the corner, your favorite artists and bands are gearing up to hit the road and visit a city near you. Here are some notable tours coming up in 2025 that are definitely sure to draw crowds and be a once in a lifetime concert.
The iconic 90s british rock band, Oasis, announced a reunion tour kicking off it’s North America run in Toronto on Aug. 24; they’ll also be in cities such as Chicago and LA. Luckily, they will be stopping by Metlife Stadium at the end of August, and since this is the only tri-state area stop the band is making it’s without a doubt a show to see. Not to mention the added bonus of their opener being Cage The Elephant.
If you’re unfamiliar with Oasis, there hits include, “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” and “Champagne Supernova.” Which are some of the greatest lyrics and music production of that era. Sorry not sorry, there’s nothing like a good 90s and 2000s band. After their backstage breakup in 2009, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher were thought to never take the stage again. Thankfully, it seems the writer and singer duo have decided to put there differences aside for this reunion tour and their loyal fans. As they said in their tour release statement, “America. Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along.”
This next artist just dropped his 8th studio album, “CHROMAKOPIA” produced and written all by himself. So it’s no surprise that Tyler, The Creator released tour dates all over the world. His tri-state area dates include Pittsburgh, PA on Mar. 28 and Washington, DC on Apr. 1, before he heads over to Germany. Don’t worry, he’ll be back to play in Philadelphia on July 5, New York City on July 14, and Newark, NJ on July 27. Tyler, The Creator is likely to play his obvious fan favorites off the album like “Noid,” and “St. Chroma (feat. Daniel Caesar).” I wouldn’t be surprised if there was special guest performances.
Heading over to pop-dance land, Dua Lipa is going on her own world tour for her album, “Radical Optimism.” She is set to play the iconic venue, Madison Square Garden, in New York City for a four night run from September 17-21. Lipa previously played at the venue for her “Future Nostalgia” tour last year, but this year the demand was so overwhelming they had to add multiple dates onto her run. While I’ve never seen her perform live, I can imagine there’s no way anyone would have a hard time having fun at her concert. Who doesn’t wanna dance to songs like “Houdini” and “Illusion” live? And of course her songs “Don’t Start Now,” and “Levitating,” are setlist must haves that will have the crowd on their feet.
Now, if you’re a fan of folk music like I am, then this next band will definitely have you scouring for tickets. The Avett Brothers will be doing a very small run for their self-titled album that released this year, along with songs from their 2009 album “I And Love And You” and their 2016 album “True Sadness.” Their small run includes performances at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on May 2 and May 3. They will also be stopping in Red Bank, NJ on May 6 to perform at Count Basie Center for the Arts which is just seven miles away from Monmouth University.
Some other honorable tour mentions include Metallica, who are, in my opinion, one of the greatest 80s heavy metal bands. They will be hitting up Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in May 2025. I don’t know about anyone else, but I would die to see “Enter Sandman” and “Master of Puppets” especially when most of the original band members are still alive.
Even though this next performer is not exactly local, if you happen to be in the southern areas during the months of January, February, and March, definitely see if you have time for Billy Strings. The country bluegrass singer will be in Nashville, Atlanta, and Asheville on his “Highway Prayers” tour. I love a good old country sound and seeing Strings in the heart of country music is sure to be a treat.
Don’t see your favorite artist? No need to fret, album and tour season is upon us. There will no doubt be tons of new music releases and opportunities to see some other favorites live in a city near you.
