The 25th ranked Monmouth University’s Field Hockey team spilt their games over the weekend. On Friday afternoon they suffered a 3-1 loss to Fairfield University in Fairfield, C.T. They successfully rebounded on Sunday by beating Hofstra University 3-0 in Hempstead, N.Y. With the spilt the Hawks improve to 9-3 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.

Field Hockey’s Begins Conference Play 1-0
The Monmouth field hockey team began conference play this past Friday with a 4-0 win over Sacred Heart University. Four different Hawks tallied goals in the game and senior defender Julie Laszlo led the way with three assists. The Hawks have now won six straight and improve to 8-2 on the year.

Twenty-fifth ranked field hockey delivered two exciting home wins this past weekend to extend their winning streak to five. The Hawks comfortably beat Drexel Friday afternoon, winning 4-1 and outlasted Indiana on Sunday with a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory.
Field Hockey Ranks #25 Nationally After Win
The Monmouth University’s field hockey is now ranked nationally for the first time in school history, coming in at #25 nationally in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Poll. This comes after they produced a 3-2 road win this past Sunday afternoon against rival Quinnipiac in Hamden, Connecticut. The hard-fought victory improves the Hawks to a 5-2 record and extends their winning streak to three.
Field Hockey Defeats Lehigh, Brown With Two Shutouts
The field hockey team came away with two impressive victories this past weekend to end a two-game losing streak. The Hawks handily defeated Lehigh on Friday afternoon by the score off 7-0 and followed suit on Sunday by beating Brown 9-0. With the two wins the Hawks improve to a 4-2 record on the season and have won 15 straight regular season home games.
Men’s Lacrosse Wins Program Record Seventh Straight
The men’s lacrosse team continued their winning ways this past week with two victories. Monmouth’s first win was against Virginia Military Institute (VMI) on Monday, April 10. Their second victory took place against Detroit Mercy in Detroit, MI on Saturday, April 15.
Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Fairfield, Canisius
The women’s lacrosse team failed to achieve a win this week, dropping contests to Fairfield University on Wednesday, April 5 and Canisius College on Saturday, April 8.
Women’s Lacrosse Improves to 2-0 in Conference Play
The women’s lacrosse team remains undefeated in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play, eking out a 13-10 win over Marist on Saturday, Apr. 1.
Women’s Lacrosse Downs Quinnipiac
The women’s lacrosse team broke a three game losing skid on Saturday, Mar. 25 defeating conference rival Quinnipiac 12-8 at Yale University in New Haven, CT.
