The men’s basketball team finished the regular season with two big home wins against St. Francis (N.Y.) and Long Island University – Brooklyn. The Hawks finish the season as the sixth seed in the Northeast Conference (NEC) and will face Robert Morris in the first round of the conference tournament.

The men’s basketball lost to Wagner Thursday night 74-67. They bounced back on Saturday and defeated Mount St. Mary’s 68-66 to secure a spot in the Northeast Conference (NEC) tournament in a couple weeks.

The men’s basketball team fell to 4-17 Saturday night after falling to Robert Morris University (RMU) 81-73 in overtime. Junior guard Velton Jones carried the Colonials to their 15th win of the season.
Football Team Improves to 5-0 on the Road
The Hawks stayed perfect on the road (50) this season, defeating Saint Francis 4845. This win improves their record to 54, 42 in the Northeast Conference (NEC).

The Hawks were shut out on Homecoming Saturday against Duquesne, 160. With this loss, Monmouth really hurt its chance at a Northeast Conference (NEC) title.
Football Team Knocks Off Second Consecutive NEC Opponent
The football team traveled to Sacred Heart on Saturday and defeated the Pioneers 3117. Monmouth improved to 43 on the season, 31 in the Northeast Conference. The Hawks stayed perfect on the road, sporting a 40 record away from Kessler Field. Sacred Heart fell to 43 on the season, 22 in the NEC.
