Track and Field has Strong Showing in “Moonlight at the MAC” Tournament
The University track and field team competed twice this past week in anticipation for the upcoming NEC Championships. Last Wednesday, the men’s and women’s teams hosted the “Moonlight in the MAC Classic” in the MAC.
The men’s and women’s indoor track teams competed at the Bison Open at Bucknell University while some competed at the Terrier Classic at Boston University.
The indoor track and field team has posted some very strong finishes so far, this year.
The field hockey team made it all the way to the NEC Championship game. Unfortunately, Coach Carli Figlio and the girls fell to Rider University in the championship on Saturday.
The field hockey team finished their regular season on a very strong note. They defeated Robert Morris University 41 on Sunday in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.
The University field hockey team had the chance to clinch the number one seed in the upcoming NEC Tournament, but failed to pull it off. The Hawks lost to Rider University on Thursday by a score of 32.
The field hockey team added two more wins to their record this past weekend, improving to a record of 124(40).

Standing at 84 looking into October, head coach Carli Figlio and the field hockey team has plenty to be proud of, but have plenty of work to do as well.
The field hockey team impressed everyone this past week as they stretched their win streak to five games. Unfortunately, the streak came to an end this past Saturday as the Hawks fell to the University of Albany 21. Albany is ranked 16th in the nation.
