Men’s Lacrosse Shines in Season Opener
The men’s lacrosse team started their 2020 season with an 11-8 win against the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Highlanders at Kessler Stadium on Saturday.
Men’s Tennis Serves Opening Double Bagel
The Monmouth University men’s tennis team kicked off the spring season with two victories at the Little Silver Tennis Club. They defeated both La Salle University and Wagner College by a score of 4-0 on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Swimming Completes 3-0 Weekend
The Monmouth men’s and women’s swim teams won their meets when they faced off against Manhattan on Saturday, Nov. 16. The men defeated the Manhattan Jaspers easily by a score of 163 to 94. The women won by an even wider margin of 194-52.
Field Hockey Falls Short in Conference Final
In an action-packed weekend in West Long Branch, Monmouth field hockey defeated the fifth seeded University of California Golden Bears, 4-3 at So Sweet a Cat Field on Friday afternoon. On Sunday, Monmouth lost 2-1 to the Stanford Cardinals at home in the American East Championship.
Women’s Soccer Undefeated in MAAC
Women’s soccer defeated Fairfield University 2-0 on Wednesday, Oct. 30 under the lights at Hesse Field. The win allows Monmouth to finish the season undefeated, with a perfect 10-0 record in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Monmouth’s overall record for the regular season was 12-2-2.
Men’s Soccer Shows Promising Youth in Losses
Men’s soccer lost to Saint Peter’s 4-1 at home on Wednesday Oct. 16 before losing to Fairfield University 3-1 in Connecticut on Oct. 19. With the losses, Monmouth falls to 1-10-2, with a record of 1-2-2 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
