Women’s Lacrosse 0-3 on the Road
The women’s lacrosse team went 1-2 in the three games they played over spring break. They first lost to the Towson University Tigers and the University of Delaware Blue Hens respectively, but then picked up a win over former Northeast Conference rival, the Sacred Heart Pioneers. MU currently holds a 2-5 record on the year.
Hawks Eliminated from MAAC Championships
The men’s basketball team was eliminated from the MAAC Conference Tournament this past Thursday, March 6, when they fell to Rider University 71-60 in the tournament’s first round. With the loss the Hawks 2013-2014 season officially comes to an end.
Men’s Basketball Still Winless in February
It’s has now been over a month since the men’s basketball team last won a game as the Hawks’ losing streak extended to nine after home losses to the Manhattan Jaspers and Saint Peter’s Peacocks last week.
Men’s Basketball’s Skid Reaches Seven Straight
The men’s basketball team lost their seventh straight game this Sunday, Feb. 16 when they fell to the Marist College Red Foxes in a double-overtime thriller here at the MAC. The loss came just two days after the team fell to the Iona College Gaels at the Hynes Center in New Rochelle, NY.
Men’s Basketball in Mid-Season Slump
Men’s basketball continued to struggle this past weekend as the team fell twice to the Fairfield University Stags and St. Peter’s University Peacocks respectively. With the losses the blue and white now find themselves in the midst of a five game losing streak, and are currently ninth overall in the MAAC with a 4-10 conference record. MU posts a 10-15 overall record on the season.

The men’s basketball team found themselves on the right and wrong side of two nail-biting contests this past week as the defeated the Fairfield University Stags Thursday, Jan. 23, but then fell to intrastate rival Rider University on Sunday, Jan. 26.

Men’s basketball lost two tight-knit games this past week after falling to the Rider University Broncs 89-83 on Thursday, Dec. 5 and the Manhattan College Jaspers 75-66 on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Men’s basketball fell to 1-2 on the season after losing to the University of Pennsylvania Quakers and in-state rival, the Seton Hall University Pirates this past week. As a young team, the Hawks showed promise in both games, but inexperience eventually caught up with them.
Men’s Basketball Wins Season Opener, 88-84
The University’s men’s basketball team started its season strong as they went on the road and took down the Hofstra Pride 88-84 on Friday, Nov. 8. Junior transfer Deon Jones led the Hawks in scoring with 22 points and added nine rebounds and two assists.
