The men’s soccer team clinched at least a share of the regular season MAAC conference title, as well as the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MAAC championships, this past week with a scoreless tie against the Manhattan Jaspers and a 2-0 win over the Niagara Purple Eagles.

Men’s Soccer Improves to 6-0-1 in MAAC
The men’s soccer team continued their hot streak this past week as they beat the Saint Peter’s Peacocks and Quinnipiac Bobcats on Wednesday, Oct 23 and Saturday, Oct 26.
Men’s Soccer Finds Early Success in MAAC
For the first time this season the men’s soccer team won back-to-back games as they defeated Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opponents Iona and Siena. With the wins, the Hawks improved their overall record to 3-5-3.
Soccer Ties Fairfield in Conference Opener
The men’s soccer team tied the Fairfield University Stags by a score of 1-1 this past Saturday, October 5th. With the tie Monmouth is now 1-5-3 on the year, while the Stags moved to 3-2-2. The game was the Hawks’ fifth overtime game of the season, and the fourth that went into two overtimes.
Despite Dominating Regulation, Hawks Tie Albany 1-1
The men’s soccer team came away with a “disappointing” 1-1 tie when they played the University of Albany Great Danes on the Great Lawn on Friday, September 20. The Hawks dominated time of possession, as well as shots on goal, but could not capitalize enough to come away with a victory.
Men’s Soccer Ties Seton Hall in Double Overtime Thriller
Monmouth University’s men’s soccer team tied their in-state rival Seton Hall University 1-1 in the Hawks home opener Friday night on the Great Lawn. Junior defender Emmanuel Senyah Agyemang netted the Hawks lone goal while Mateusz Brela scored the lone goal for SHU. The two teams competed in front of 4,042 fans marking a new school record.
Men’s Tennis Tops Sacred Heart
The men’s tennis team beat visiting Sacred Heart (SHU) 5-2 on Saturday afternoon. The win improved the Hawks overall record to 6-7 and evened their conference record at 3-3. Sacred Heart fell to 3-12 on the season with a conference record of 2-4.
Men’s Basketball Drops Final Two Games
The men’s basketball team lost their final two games of the season this weekend after falling to Mount St. Mary’s and Wagner. The Hawks ended their season with a 10-21 record while going 5-13 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play.
