Monmouth’s women’s lacrosse team lost their home-opener and first game of the season Sunday, Feb. 16 by a score of 8-6 to the Fresno State University Bulldogs.

Pugliese Serves as MU’s Tennis Addition
For many high school graduates, college means going a little further away from home. For Victor Pugliese, college meant going 5,681 miles away from home.
MU’s New Stadium
The University recently announced they will be constructuing a new home for Monmouth’s football team, men’s and women’s lacrosse team, and men’s and women’s track and field teams.

The women’s bowling team placed ninth out of twelve teams this past weekend at the Wildcat Invitational. They were led by junior Valerie Bermudez who finished eighth overall individually.
University Remembers the Kindness of Pia Deasey
University employee Piedad A. Deasey, 68, passed away on Friday, Feb. 7 from a form of cancer that has not yet been confirmed.
Track and Field Place Top 10 in Events
The University’s track and field squads competed in the 2014 BU John Thomas Terrier Invitational held in Boston, Mass as well as the NYU Team Challenge at the New York Armory this past weekend. The Invitationals split up most of the events with the majority of the women’s events on Friday and then men’s primarily on Saturday.

University Alum Goes the Distance
On most bucket lists, there are the usual ‘go sky diving’ or ‘travel the world’ descriptions, but University alum Paul Mandala’s bucket list consisted of a 10,000 mile bike ride from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Panama City, Panama.
Track & Field Place First in the MAC Classic
The men’s and women’s track and field teams both finished in first place during the Fifth Annual MAC Classic on Saturday, Dec. 7. The Classic marked the beginning of their indoor seasons and the first season the team will appear in the Metro Athletic Atlantic Conference. The men and women’s track and field team remains undefeated in The MAC since its doors opened in 2009.
