Singer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Krause transferred to Monmouth this semester, after studying at The University of the Arts and Philadelphia Community College. Now, the junior communication student has found his way into Monmouth’s music scene, having written and recorded an original song on Blue Hawk Records’ 17th compilation album.

From 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Election Day, Payton Collander sat in front of her computer, working for the Associated Press as a Vote Entry Operator. She counted votes for all races in four of the New England states— Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts.
Real Estate Team Brings Home First Place Prize
The Monmouth University real estate team received a first-place prize for the second consecutive year on Friday, Nov. 13. The intercollegiate competition, titled “Monmouth University Kislak Real Estate Institute Competition,” also consisted of students from Baruch College, Lehigh University, and Villanova University.

Freshman music industry student Nick Garrecht picked up his first guitar six years ago, around the time his grandfather, who introduced him to artists such as Johnny Cash and The Beatles, passed away. A few years later he learned the piano and joined his first band in 2016, when he played a gig at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I can now officially say that I’ve been to my first virtual concert of 2020. On Friday, Nov. 13, alternative rock band All Time Low streamed the second installment to their “Basement Noise” concert series on their website.

Student Organization Hosts Reproductive Justice Awareness Week
The Gender Studies and Intersectionality Club (GSIC) teamed with Students for Systemic Change and SPECTRUM to host three events for Reproductive Justice Awareness week from Monday, Nov. 2 to Friday, Nov. 6 via Zoom.
