Over 65 employers came to Anacon Hall for the Network 2012 Fall Career Day organized by the University Center for Student Success and Career Services on Thursday.
Student Groups Register New Voters
Hawk TV, WMCX, and the Political Science Club hosted “Rock and Register” in the Plangere Center last Friday, where the campus learned more about the upcoming election and were given the opportunity to register to vote.
New Art Building Set to Open in November
This November is the planned opening for the new Joan and Robert Rechnitz Hall Art Building on campus. The building, currently under construction, will boast 20,340 square feet of classrooms and faculty offices as well as a three-story gallery. Robert L. Cornero, Associate Vice President of Campus Planning & Construction explains that the construction had a delayed start because of waiting on approval for last minute changes. These changes included the structuce, technical issues, heating system, lighting revisions, foundation revisions, ceiling revisions and different trim and tile patterns.
New Physicians Assistant Program Underway
A new Master’s of Science Physician Assistant Program will be launched since approval by the University’s Graduate Studies Committee was granted last month. The hope for the program is for it to be launched in the fall of 2014, said Janet Mahoney, Dean of Nursing and Health Studies.
Obama Exempts New Jersey from No Child Left Behind
New Jersey became one of 10 states to receive a waiver from President Barrack Obama exempting the education system from the laws of the No Child Left Behind Act on February 9.
