Monmouth University men’s soccer cruised past Seton Hall University by a score of four goals to one at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn Tuesday night, improving their record this season to 4-3-1, while the visitors’ dropped to 0-5-1.
Football Falls To 16th Ranked Fordham Rams
The Monmouth Hawks fell this past Saturday to the 16th ranked Fordham Rams 54-31 in the second ever meeting between the two schools.
Philadelphia Eagles Practice at Kessler Field; Pick Up First Victory of Season
There was a different kind of bird on campus as the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League came to practice at Monmouth on Friday and Saturday. With Pope Francis staying in the Philadelphia area, the team needed a place to practice for the weekend. With their upcoming game being against the Jets at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey was a logical choice.

Field Hockey Splits Weekend Home Stand
The Hawks started their weekend on Friday, Sept. 18 with a loss to the Temple Owls 4-2. The Owls jumped out to a 1-0 lead Friday afternoon. The Hawks would respond when senior midfielder Cori Allen put Monmouth back into the game with two goals in the first half. This was Allen’s first career multi-goal game, which helped keep the game tied at two after one half of play. Not to be outdone, Temple’s Alyssa Delp registered a hat trick that propelled the Owls to victory over Monmouth on So Sweet A Cat Field.
Womens Soccer Cruises Past Marist in MAAC Opener
The women’s soccer team managed a 3-1 victory this past Saturday at Hesse Field on the Great Lawn against the Marist Red Foxes in their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference season opener. This is Monmouth’s third victory over Marist in MAAC history.
Football Grabs First Win of the Season at Wagner
In the past two weeks, the football team not only picked up their first win of the season but also faced the Chippewas of Central Michigan in the program’s first ever game against a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent.
Monmouth and Rugters Play Out 110 Minute Draw
Last Wednesday, the University Men’s soccer team shared the points with intrastate rival Rutgers in a scoreless draw at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn in front of over 1,700 fans.

Monmouth Football fell to Central Michigan 31-10 in the Hawks first ever FBS contest. Freshman defensive back Deontà Fair was named CRONS Brand Big South Freshman of the Week after recording his first career interception in Mount Pleasant, Michigan this past Saturday.
