Men’s Tennis: After earning 7-0 wins over Niagara, Fairfield, and Siena, the men’s tennis team swept their fourth straight opponent, defeating Stony Brook on Sunday, Apr. 5. Sophomore Nicola Pipoli earned the No. 1 singles win by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, and senior Przemyslaw Filipek earned the come from behind 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles. Junior Ale Gomez Estrada also went to a third set, ultimately defeating Stony Brook 6-3, 0-6, 6-3. Monmouth earned two wins during the doubles portion, including the duos of Filipek and Gomez and senior Christian Vieira and freshman Vikrant Dahiya. Monmouth will host Hofstra on Friday, Apr. 14 for a 2 p.m. start. They will then travel to State College, PA to take on Penn State on Sunday, April 16 at a time to be announced.

The men’s lacrosse team continued their winning ways this past week with two victories. Monmouth’s first win was against Virginia Military Institute (VMI) on Monday, April 10. Their second victory took place against Detroit Mercy in Detroit, MI on Saturday, April 15.
Cross Country Competes at Princeton

The University’s men’s and women’s cross country teams participated in Princeton University’s Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18. Out of 35 teams, the men tied for 15th with 417 points while the women placed 16th out of 37 teams with 481 points.

Eight Hawks Received All East Honors for their Performances
The men’s and women’s track teams took home two first place prizes in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference and Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletics the first weekend of March.
