Men’s Tennis: The University men’s tennis team split two matches in Washington DC over the weekend. MU defeated Georgetown 4-3 on Saturday for their first win of the season before they fell to George Washington on Sunday, 7-0. The Hawks earned four consecutive singles wins from Sophomore Nicola Pipoli, Senior Przemyslaw Filipek, Junior Ale Gomez Estrada, Senior Christian Vieira, and also picked up a doubles win from Filipek and Gomez Estrada against Georgetown The blue and white will host their first match of the season on Friday when they welcome Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) rival Saint Peter’s to West Long Branch for a 7:00 p.m. start.

Men’s soccer lost to Saint Peter’s 4-1 at home on Wednesday Oct. 16 before losing to Fairfield University 3-1 in Connecticut on Oct. 19. With the losses, Monmouth falls to 1-10-2, with a record of 1-2-2 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
Men’s Basketball Splits Trips To California

Monmouth men’s basketball team opened up their season with an 84-81 overtime win on the road at the University of California Los Angeles Friday night. The team traveled 3,000 miles across the country to become the first Hawk’s to beat a PAC-12 opponent in school history.
