Men’s Tennis: After earning 7-0 wins over Niagara, Fairfield, and Siena, the men’s tennis team swept their fourth straight opponent, defeating Stony Brook on Sunday, Apr. 5. Sophomore Nicola Pipoli earned the No. 1 singles win by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, and senior Przemyslaw Filipek earned the come from behind 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles. Junior Ale Gomez Estrada also went to a third set, ultimately defeating Stony Brook 6-3, 0-6, 6-3. Monmouth earned two wins during the doubles portion, including the duos of Filipek and Gomez and senior Christian Vieira and freshman Vikrant Dahiya. Monmouth will host Hofstra on Friday, Apr. 14 for a 2 p.m. start. They will then travel to State College, PA to take on Penn State on Sunday, April 16 at a time to be announced.

Men’s Basketball Continues Winning Ways over Winter Break
After an impressive nonconference resume with road or neutral site victories over UCLA, USC, Notre Dame, Georgetown, and Rutgers early in the season, the men’s basketball team has padded their resume for a high seed in the MAAC Tournament and, possibly, an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament over winter break.
Track and Field Post Strong Finishes at ECAC/IC4A
The men and women’s track and field teams both had record finishes in the ECAC/IC4A Championships at Boston University this past weekend. The men placed fifth out of 100 teams and the women placed eighth out of 86 teams. These are the highest finishes at the ECAC/IC4As by both MU’s men and women in program history, marking a major milestone for the athletes, and the program.
