University Bookstore Held “Salute to Seuss Soiree” in Honor of Read Across America Day
In celebration of Read Across America Day, the University bookstore held a “Salute to Seuss Soiree” on Friday, March 1. The bookstore was buzzing with pre-school students and University staff.
Due to the rapidly rising heroin overdose fatalities in Monmouth and Ocean County, law enforcement officials are seeking ways to combat the recent heroin epidemic. Christopher Gramiccioni, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor, said, the efforts that law enforcement officials will uphold include increased education about the effects of drugs while also emphasizing traditional enforcement of narcotic laws.
The Criminal Justice Department sponsored Get Real About Sex, Consent, and Violence with guest speaker Jeffrey Bucholtz at Pollak Theatre for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week on Friday, April 13. Bucholtz is a professor of oral communication at Southwestern College. The event was cosponsored by The County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey and New Jersey Association of Victim Coordinators.
