After a record setting performance for Monmouth football on Saturday Sept. 28 against Fordham, two Hawks were awarded CAA player of the week honors following their performance. Running back Makhi Green earned CAA Special Teams Player of the Week while running back Sone Ntoh earned CAA Offensive Player of the Week. Green set the tempo for the Hawks early on, on the game opening kickoff when he completed 100 yards for his first-career kickoff return touchdown. He finished with 143 yards on the day. Ntoh completed an outstsanding offensive performance as he leads the FCS with 12 rushing touchdowns. Not only does he lead the FCS but his team with five touchdowns, a team-record tying performance. His 135 yards were a career high and he now sits tied at eighth in Monmouth history with 26 career touchdowns. Ntoh currently leads the FCS with 12 rushing touchowns.

Women’s Basketball Opens Season Nov. 13
The Monmouth women’s basketball team finished in fourth place in last year’s MAAC tournament, losing to Quinnipiac 66-59 in the semifinals. The semifinal appearance for the Hawks was the highest the team had finished in a conference tournament since the 2011 season. That was not the biggest loss for the team, however, as they would lose seven players (six seniors, one transfer) during the offseason.
Women’s Soccer Win MAAC Title
The women’s soccer team clinched the regular season MAAC title this past week after improving to 8-1 in conference play with two victories.
