If you are a college student on the hunt for cute, personalized, and cost-effective clothing, The Grateful Threads is a must. Created just two months ago by Monmouth University’s very own Cristina Medlin, The Grateful Threads is a unique business that was sparked by Medlin’s love for not only thrifting clothes but also making her customers happy.
At just eighteen years old, we are thrown into the world of college. We graduate from lockers to dorm rooms, school cafeterias to dining halls (and Dunkin’ Donuts on campus), and pre-determined class periods to self-made schedules. The biggest change of all is that students control their fate for their four years at Monmouth University.
With a little less than three weeks until Opening Day 2019 and MLB Spring Training officially underway, the 2019 season is just around the corner.
College students do not typically have the luxury of driving to the mall to pick up gifts for their loved ones. While they may not have their car on campus, they may not have the funds either. Gifts are expensive, and your total can quickly accumulate, especially when there are numerous people on your shopping list.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year — for everything except our bank accounts. You don’t need to spend a month’s worth of college tuition on the perfect gifts for your family and friends. There are millions of other ways to show your loved ones that you care about them without spending an arm and a leg on “the perfect gift.”
People think that as long as you have a 4.0 GPA, then you are guaranteed a successful career. But, does a 4.0 GPA enhance your social skills and expand your knowledge in different areas than your major?
John E. Henning, Ph.D., is the University’s Dean of Education. He joined the Hawk family in 2015 and has since been recognized with a wide-range of awards and notable mentions. Being a part of the University’s most recognizable field of study, Henning has both influenced and assisted in the success of future teachers.
Let’s face it, Monmouth is definitely one of those universities known for their location. Pier Village and being by the beach both mean one thing: great food places.
