In my three years writing for The Outlook I always thought this would be the easiest article for me to write. That definitely is not the case. My time at Monmouth has given me so much to be grateful for and so many people to thank that there’s no way I could fit it all into one story, but I’ll try my best here.

Men’s Lacrosse Clinch Spot in MAAC Tournament
With their 14-5 victory over the Manhattan Jaspers on Saturday, April 25 the men’s lacrosse team clinched the four seed in the upcoming MAAC Tournament in just their second season at the varsity level.
Life is Beautiful
Nearly 50 students and professors packed into the Magill Commons Club Dining Room to attend a screening of the film Life is Beautiful on Thursday, April 16, as part of the University’s 14th annual Global Understanding Convention held last week.
Women’s Lacrosse Remain Undefeated in Conference
The women’s lacrosse team extended their winning streak to five games this past week to improve to 8-3 overall on the season, and are currently tied with Fairfield and Canisius for first place in the MAAC at 3-0.
Baseball Wins First Conference Series of the Year
The University’s baseball team took two of three from Manhattan over the weekend to improve to 5-12 overall (2-1 in the MAAC) on the season.
Men’s Lacrosse Hit .500 at Half-Way Mark
The men’s lacrosse team improved its record to 4-4 overall this season, including a 1-1 mark in the MAAC, with consecutive wins over NJIT and Siena this past week.
Men’s Basketball Falls in MAAC Semi-Finals
The men’s basketball team was eliminated from this year’s MAAC Championship Tournament after falling to top-seeded Iona in the semi-finals at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY this past Sunday, March 8.
Men’s Basketball Clinches First-Round Bye
The men’s basketball team clinched a first-round bye in the upcoming MAAC tournament when they took down the Peacocks of St. Peter’s University 63-58 this past Thursday, Feb. 19 in Jersey City.
Men’s Basketball Tied for Third in MAAC
The men’s basketball team is now tied with Manhattan for third place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with a 9-5 conference record after splitting their previous two games against the Quinnipiac Bobcats and the Canisius Golden Griffins.
Women’s Basketball Snaps Two Game Skid
After falling to Marist two days earlier, the women’s basketball team picked up their first MAAC victory on Sunday, Dec. 7 when they outlasted the Iona Gaels for a 75-74 victory in double overtime.
