On Saturday, April 5, the women’s lacrosse team snapped their winning streak at four game overall and two in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). The loss was handed to them by the Niagara University Purple Eagles with a final score of 12-8 on Kessler Field.
The men’s lacrosse team fell, 17-9, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) contest to the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Saturday, April 5 at Kessler Field. With the loss, the men’s record drops to 0-10, 0-3 within the MAAC, while the Bobcats improved to 5-4, 3-1 within the MAAC.
The track and field teams competed in three meets this weekend with multiple relay teams breaking school records.

Outfielder Craig Sweeney (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) and pitcher Andrew McGee (Toms River, N.J./Toms River South) have earned weekly honors from the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association after their performances last week that included a sweep over Marist. McGee was named NJ Pitcher of the Week, while Sweeney picked up New Jersey Player of the Week accolades.
When Mariah Toussaint, a senior multi-position Track and Field star, made the decision to transfer to Monmouth for her junior year, she naturally experienced some apprehension and anxiety.
On Saturday, March 29 the women’s lacrosse team defeated the Siena Saints by the final score of 16-9. With the victory, the blue and white improved to 4-5 overall, and are now 1-0 in the MAAC, while Siena fell to 2-8 with an 0-1 MAAC conference record. This game marked the women’s lacrosse team’s inaugural appearance in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

For most students, spring break means relaxing, going on vacation, and getting away from all things related to school. For the University baseball team, springreakantplaying against the George Washing-ton Colonials, Saint Joseph’s Hawks, Towson Tigers, and Marist Red Foxes.
