The Monmouth University women’s soccer team absolutely dominated their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opponents this past week beating Iona on Wednesday and Niagara on Saturday by a combined 9-0 total.
Field Hockey Goes 2-0, Clinching Postseason Berth
Field Hockey put together a strong week of play as they defeated Albany 1-0 in the second overtime on Friday then notched another win against Columbia at home on Sunday, defeating them 2-1 in a shootout.

Men’s soccer lost to Saint Peter’s 4-1 at home on Wednesday Oct. 16 before losing to Fairfield University 3-1 in Connecticut on Oct. 19. With the losses, Monmouth falls to 1-10-2, with a record of 1-2-2 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
Football Prevails 49-28 in Homecoming Shootout
Monmouth football bulldozed over the Runnin’ Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb in their Homecoming game on Saturday at Kessler Stadium by a score of 49-28 led by Big South Offensive Player of the Week, fifth year quarterback Kenji Bahar.

Sophomore forward Annick Van Lange, recently named National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFCHA) and America East Offensive Player of the Week proved to be a force as she registered a pair of goals in Friday’s win against Maine. So Sweet A Cat field hosted its 5th win for the Hawks this season as they continue to roll through conference play.

Monmouth football put a nearly flawless performance together in their first Big South matchup of the season, dominating visiting Presbyterian on Saturday 45-0 at Kessler Stadium in Long Branch.
Women’s Soccer Extends Winning Streak to Seven
The Monmouth University women’s soccer team is now on a seven game winning streak after adding two shutout wins against Siena College and Canisius College this week. The Hawks won 1-0 against Siena in double overtime this past Wednesday, Oct. 9 and then had a 6-0 victory over Canisius on Saturday, Oct. 12.
