Baseball defeated Sacred Heart University with a walk off double by sophomore infielder Johnny Zega in the bottom of the tenth. The Hawks opened a six-game homestand last week, winning four of the first five games.

Softball improved their impressive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) record to a perfect 8-0 after winning back-to-back games against St. Peter’s University on Friday, April 13 and Manhattan College on Saturday, April 14.

The women’s golf team completed their regular season play at the Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, MD last weekend. The tournament was played at the Naval Academy Golf Club and was played at 6,085 yards. The field featured 59 competitors from nine teams. The field included Navy, Bucknell, Central Connecticut State, Delaware State, Lehigh, Monmouth, Quinnipiac, Towson, Yale.

Women lacrosse delivered two impressive wins this past week. A balanced team effort resulted in a 14-11 victory over Fairfield on Wednesday and this was followed up with a 14-12 win over perennially dominant Canisius on Sunday. With the two wins Monmouth now stands at 5-8 overall and 3-1 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play. 

Men’s lacrosse closed out non-conference play by splitting decisions in home games against Lafayette and New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).

Softball continues their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) win streak with two more wins against Rider University this past Friday, improving their record to an undefeated 4-0 in MAAC play.

Baseball dominated Princeton 7-1 on the road before getting swept by conference rival Quinnipiac over the weekend.

Following a series loss at the hands of Marist, the Monmouth University baseball team looked to rebound in their first four home games of the season.
