Women’s lacrosse split their two matchups this past week, losing to George Mason 17-14 on Wednesday and defeating George Washington 14-8 on Saturday. With the win, Monmouth snaps their four-game losing streak and now stands at a 1-4 record overall.
Women’s Basketball Loses to Quinnipiac to End Season
After two tough losses in Buffalo, the Monmouth women’s basketball team bounced back with a 73-65 senior night victory over Fairfield at the OceanFirst Bank Center Friday night.
Men’s Basketball Defeats Rider on Senior Day
Men’s basketball defeated the Rider Broncs 91-77 on Senior Night on Thursday. The game was before falling to the Fairfield Stags 69-66 in the regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.
Allie Wilson Breaks School Record
After bringing home two more Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship titles to add to the already decorated reputation that the Monmouth University track and field team has, the Hawks brought that same energy to the Fastrack Last Chance meet in Staten Island, N.Y. and Boston, MA this past Saturday and Sunday Feb. 24 & 25.

Track and Field Wins Conference Championship
The men and women’s track and field team of dominated in their fifth Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Indoor Championship this weekend at the 168th Street Armory in New York City, and brought back another championship; with the women’s team bringing home their fifth straight championship and the men bringing back their fourth championship in the last five years.
Women’s Lacrosse Loses to Temple and Rutgers
Women’s lacrosse failed to come away with a win this past week dropping two home games, both by double-digits to extend their losing streak to three. Monmouth’s first loss came Wednesday afternoon as the team lost 18-7 to Temple. The Hawks struggles continued Saturday as they fell to Rutgers 19-8.
Men’s Basketball Defeats Siena in Triple Overtime
Men’s basketball defeated the Siena Saints 93-89 in three overtime periods on Sunday afternoon. The game featured 18 lead-changes and 18 ties. The victory came after a 78-60 loss to the Canisius Golden Griffs on Friday night.
