The bats woke up for the baseball team as they scored 38 runs on 36 hits in three games to sweep Quinnipiac over the weekend to open up Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play at MU Baseball Field.

The men’s lacrosse team has opened up Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play 2-0 for the first time in program history after they overcame an early 4-0 deficit to down Siena 17-9 at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn on Saturday, Mar. 25.

The women’s lacrosse team broke a three game losing skid on Saturday, Mar. 25 defeating conference rival Quinnipiac 12-8 at Yale University in New Haven, CT.

Despite a 67-51 loss to in-state rival Rider in the quarterfinals of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament, there is still a lot to look forward to for the women’s basketball team.

The softball team competed in two tournaments over spring break, playing 13 games over a 10 day span in the Under Armour Showcase and the Clearwater Parks & Rec/Michele Smith Spring Break Invitational in Clearwater, FL.

The women’s lacrosse team was defeated in all three of their matchups over spring break. They competed against three highly talented teams in Delaware, Boston College (BC) and Towson. Monmouth now has a season record of 2-7 and have concluded non-conference play.

The season came to an end for men’s basketball in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) on Tuesday, Mar. 14 as the fourth-seeded Hawks fell to fifth-seeded Ole Miss, 91-83 at OceanFirst Bank Center.

The baseball team recorded wins over Wofford on Saturday, Mar. 11 and another against George Washington on Sunday, Mar. 19 over spring break.
