From feel-good plots, to beautiful scenery, to spooky vibes, to the fashion choices, you are sure to fall in love with these recommendations.

  1. Gilmore Girls
    A classic autumn addition, Gilmore Girls follows Lorelai and Rory Gilmores’ relationship as mother and daughter. Lorelai is a head-strong single mom with hopes of owning her own bed and breakfast inn. Rory, who is never seen without a book in her hand, is Ivy League-bound and learning how to navigate her teen years.
    Over the course of seven seasons, we follow the duo’s love lives, friendships, and more. Filled with picturesque scenery, academic motivation, and plenty of coffee, this show is the perfect addition to your watchlist this season.

    When Harry Met Sally follows, you guessed it, Harry and Sally as they try to figure out whether or not men and women can actually be platonic friends with sex completely off the table.
    A decade after heading their separate ways, Harry and Sally meet again in a bookstore with their friends. As Sally is single and Harry is recently divorced, they decide to test their theory and try to be friends without wanting anything more. We slowly see their friendship face the ups and downs of life in New York City as they navigate the nuance between love and friendship.
    This film is a rom-com classic and is sure to put a smile on your face. The NYC scenery and stellar soundtrack make this the perfect cozy movie for fall.
  3. Legally Blonde
    The best back-to-school motivation is presented within the movie Legally Blonde, which stars the talented Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods, a sorority president turned Harvard Law student.
    Looking forward to getting engaged to her college boyfriend, Warner, Elle is devastated when he breaks up with her because he needs a “serious girl.” She decides the best way to win him back is to attend Harvard Law herself and prove him wrong.
    Equipped with a study montage that is sure to make you want to whip out those textbooks, Legally Blonde will get you motivated for the fall semester while also leaving you falling out of your seat laughing.
  4. Friday Night Lights
    Besides the fact that Tim Riggins alone should make you want to watch Friday Night Lights, it’s also a great football season show. In the small town of Dillon, Texas, everyone’s main focus is football. The possibility of winning the state championship is everything.
    Played by Kyle Chandler, Coach Taylor is determined to bring his team to the top. Taking place over five seasons, he mentors his players to become not just talented football players who understand and love the game, but also into strong men and good people.
    Kaitlin Chillemi, a sophomore early childhood education student, explained, “Friday Night Lights is one of the best fall season shows. It really gets you in a tailgating, football mood.
    Some other amazing fall classics to check out this season include St. Elmo’s Fire, Rudy, The Goonies, any of the Harry Potter movies, Gossip Girl, Felicity, Supernatural, and One Tree Hill.
