It’s possible to retrain your mind to perceive the richness and beauty all around you if you regularly acknowledge the positive aspects of your life.

The Danish word hygge (pronounced “hoo-guh”) means cozy and content—ideals that go hand in hand with autumn. Adopting hygge can assist in resetting your mentality by motivating you to take it easy, appreciate the present, and find solace in the little things in life.

In order to experience hygge this fall, make your house feel cozy. Snuggle up with a nice blanket, light candles, and sip tea or hot chocolate. Invite your loved ones over for a relaxing game night or dinner. Freshman business student Katie Sullivan commented, “I love relaxing and spending time with my family during the fall months.”

Fall is a great time of year to reflect and form goals. As the year draws to a close, now is the perfect moment to assess your accomplishments, modify your plans, and establish new goals. You can rekindle your motivation and sense of purpose by changing your outlook.

Think back on your past successes and things you’d like to improve before making goals. Establish clear, quantifiable, and doable objectives for the remaining months of the year. To make things easier, divide them up into smaller, more manageable tasks. Having specific goals might help you feel more motivated and in control of your life.
