The word “mistake” has a highly negative connotation, but why? I look back on my life and I have made a boatload of mistakes and I plan to make more in the near future. Making bad decisions builds character, make for great memories and admit it, it’s pretty fun.
Greek Senate hosted the annual “Talent Show,” to mark the beginning of Greek Week. The talent show was hosted in Pollak Theater on April 21 at 9:30 pm.
Wilson Hall was transformed into a spa through the use of its historic beauty and added decor for the Student Activities Board (SAB)’s annual Spa Night on Saturday, April 25 from 6 – 9 pm where students and faculty were pampered, de-stressed and styled through the use of local salons in the Monmouth County area right on campus.
The University’s Panhellenic Council hosted a “Mean Girls” movie night last Wednesday, April 16 for sorority members in honor of the movie’s upcoming 10-year anniversary.
Alpha Sigma Tau (AST) hosted Love Struck, their annual Greek event, on Wednesday, April 17 at 10 pm in Anacon Hall. Approximately 200 students attended the event, helping to raise over $1,500 for the sorority’s national service project, Habitat for Humanity.
Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPsi), the business fraternity, hosted their Second Annual Business Week April 15 – 17 consisting of five different professional events.
Shadow PR Firm/Public Relations Student Society Of America (PRSSA) Chapter
West Long Branch, NJ- Monmouth University Alum, Don Povia and Tiffany Miller, will be guest speakers for the University’s Shadow PR Firm and Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapter’s Alumni Day. The event will take place during the PRSSA meeting on Wednesday, April 30 at 2:30 pm in room 234 of Plangere Center.
The Office of International Students in conjunction with the International Club hosted their Annual International Festival, which featured various student performances to celebrate and promote different cultures of the University in Anacon Hall on Saturday, April 12 from 6:30 – 11:00 pm.
